Welcome to It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? This is a meme hosted by Sheila @ Book Journey; and I think it is great to start the week with what I’m reading right this minute, and what I’ll be reading (or planning on reading, anyway) for the rest of the week. Please visit Sheila’s blog to sign up on her linky, that way you will have other Monday bloggers coming to visit you as well.
Last week, I read the following books:
Rise from Darkness by Ciara Knight, the first book in The Battle for Souls series is the story about Gaby who has to move very often due to her father's work, and in this new place, she realizes there is a lot more to the world than what meets the eye. 3 stars The second book in Ciara Knight's Battle for Souls series, Fall From Grace continues shortly after the end of Rise from Darkness, and shows how Gaby has a lot of work to do in order to maybe save the world. 3 stars
The third and last book in the Battle for Souls series, Ascension of Evil, is where the final battle between good and evil happens, and the characters have a lot of trouble knowing whom to trust. 3 stars
Wrong Ways Down is a novella in Stacia Kane's Downside Ghosts series, and I don't have enough superlatives to describe how much I loved this installment, told in Terrible's point of view. 5 stars - my review will be up tomorrow.
Right now, I'm reading
Ever After; book 11 in Kim Harrison's The Hollows series. I don't know how, but I thought this book was only being published in October, and I actually had it on my kindle all this time... Good thing, too, because I started having withdrawals here :) so far, I love it!
I am also listening to the audiobook of Slammed by Colleen Hoover. I love how the narrator brings the characters to life so far - it's really well done! I haven't listened to any audibooks before, so this is a real treat for me :)
And next week, I'm planning on reading the following books:
Bound by Night (Moonbound Clan Vampire #1) by Larissa Ione, I somehow have managed getting an ARC both from Edelweiss and Netgalley for this title, and I have no idea how that happened. Anyhow, I'm really looking forward to reading this.
The Next Best Thing by Kristan Higgins is a contemporary romance novel, and since I love those, and usually enjoy KH's writing, this is another one I look forward to. I have an eARC from Netgalley for this one as well.
