LGBT Month - Sign-up post

Laura Plus Books

LGBT Month is hosted by Cayce at Fighting Dreamer and Laura at Laura Plus Books. It runs throughout April and it’s here to celebrate LGBT readers, LGBT authors and of course LGBT books!

Throughout April, Laura and Cayce decided to celebrate LGBT by reading books where at least one of the characters is gay, lesbian, transsexual or bisexual. As there aren’t that many books out there that I know of with LGBT characters, I decided to sign up as well. However, for me, this is supposed to be all positive! So if you don’t think it is, please don’t leave me a comment – just leave, it’s very easy to find the little cross up there in the corner to leave :)

This event has no real rules. All you have to do is read and share LGBT+ books. At lease one book or one post! Try to spread the acceptance of LGBT+. You don’t need to have a blog. You can have a YouTube channel, you can review books on Goodreads and/or you can use the hashtag #LGBTApril on Twitter!

Different things we’ll be doing during April are reviews, giveaways, guest posts, discussions, everything! We really hope you can too! There will also be Twitter parties! At the beginning of each week, we’ll post a Linky. There, you can link-up all your different posts. You can read all the things other people are posting too.

Also, there will be a READ-ALONG! It’s not compulsory for you to read it but it’ll be a lot more fun if you do. There are no set rules on how you have to read it, as long as you read it April with us. And… you get to vote on which book you want to read! If it’s too hard for you to vote for 1, you can for for 2 but don’t go crazy and vote for all of them. The list is in the signup post, and the button at the top of this post will take you right to it :)

So now, what do you need to do to sign up?

- Link up to your blog/channel/Goodreads/Twitter. Your Name @ Blog/Channel or Goodreads/Twitter
- Then, write a sign up post! Include the description and the banner if you have a blog. If you’re just doing it on Goodreads/Twitter, just spread the message!
- You don’t have to straight away. Feel free to sign up now and talk about it later. :)

I think I’ll read Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan, as I already own it.

I have just read and reviewed Because of Her by KE Payne, and I really enjoyed it a lot. My review can be found here. Another LGBT I have recently read is If You Could be Mine by Sara Farizan, here is my review.
I am also participating in a blog-tour, for the second book in a series about a wolf-pack where the pack-master’s son is gay. This second book is called Wolf in Gucci Loafers, and I look forward to reading it. The first book in the series, The Pack or the Panther was really good, and I have reviewed that one, too.
Depending on how much time I’ll have for reading, I may add more books, so please feel free to leave me recommendations!
