A bad boy wrapped in a sexy, muscled, grown-up package might be worth a little risk…

Molly Webster has always followed the rules. After an ugly scandal tore apart her childhood and made her the focus of the media’s harsh spotlight, she vowed to live an ordinary life. No fame. No impropriety. No pain. Then she meets Zachary Fox, a tattooed bad boy rocker with a voice like whiskey and sin, and a touch that could become an addiction.

A one-night stand with the hottest rock star on the planet, that’s all it was meant to be…

Fox promises scorching heat and dangerous pleasure, coaxing Molly to extend their one-night stand into a one-month fling. After that, he’ll be gone forever, his life never again intersecting with her own. Sex and sin and sensual indulgence, all with an expiration date. No ties, no regrets. Too late, Molly realizes it isn’t only her body that’s become addicted to Fox, but her heart…

New adult scorching hot erotica, that’s Rock Addiction in a nut-shell.

My Rock Addiction review:

I had trouble getting int Rock Addiction at the beginning of the story, and I have to admit I rolled my eyes a little bit. Molly is a 24-year-old virgin. And those who know my blog know that this is a pet-peeve of mine, right? Why is she a virgin? And why, oh why would she decide that her first time would be with a mega rock-star, while at the same time almost having a panic attack at the thought of paparazzi? And how could he make it so good for her that they ‘did it’ not once, but twice or more in the same night, and of course, she came each time?

I think my rant is over, but I just had to get that off my chest. Once I got to know Fox and Molly better, I enjoyed the story quite a bit, even if I almost thought there was *gasp* too much sex! And I love reading erotica, and I love Singh’s other books – both the Guild Hunter series and the Psy-Changeling series are among my favorites. However in Rock Addiction, I thought there was so much sex that it took away something from both the characters and the story overall. Like they felt slightly shallow, maybe? Even if I know I’ll read the next Rock Kiss story, because the writing was beautiful, and I was intrigued enough by the side characters to want to know what will happen with them.

What I did get to know about Fox and Molly, and their childhoods and their dreams and hopes was very well done, but it was pretty much overshadowed by all the sex. Even the music parts, where Fox was on stage didn’t really last long enough for me, and towards the end, I almost wanted to skip ahead and not read about the sex. Which is not exactly common for me at all.

Now, if you’re a fan of Ms. Singh, you know that she writes beautiful sex-scenes, filled with love, tenderness, feelings and hotness. And that is definitely the case in Rock Addiction as well. But I would have enjoyed the story if there had been less sex and more tenderness outside of the bedroom, even if there was quite a bit of that as well. Molly and Fox are both really great characters to read about, and they do have a lot on their plates to make their relationship work. And their interactions with the other band-members, Fox with fans, Molly with her best friend Charlie or her sister Thea were very well done, and the main reason why I know I have to continue this series.

Some of my favorite Rock Addiction quotes:

And the fact he knew she was exactly as she appeared to be, that she wasn’t out for fame or money? Yeah, that just made her sexier.

Molly had learned her lesson about reality versus dreams as a teenager – once destroyed, some dreams could never be resurrected. And for some reason, she couldn’t bear for this silly, unattainable dream to be splintered by reality.

Each glimpse had only deepened his craving to know more. He didn’t only want to fuck Molly; he wanted to talk to her, wanted to hear her sue words like “nefarious” and discover what else might come out of her beautiful mouth.
